This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Nestle, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BreakfastEssentials

My sweet Everly is three weeks old already, which seems crazy to me. I swear, I just gave birth to her yesterday. At least it feels like it. Many of you know that on top of breastfeeding my newborn, my 28-month old is still nursing too. I’ve tried to wean her, or even get her to cut back, but she’s showing no signs of giving up her “boo boos” any time soon.

That means I’m nursing two little ones pretty much around the clock. That’s a whole lot of milk this momma is making for my little girls. In any case, keeping your milk supply well maintained can be difficult for anyone. Whether you have one baby, two babies, or a baby and a toddler like me.

If I could recommend to a mom what has helped me the most it would be LOTS OF WATER and of course sleep. However, there are other foods that can be tremendously helpful in increasing your milk supply, and this smoothie has some of those great essentials.

I’ve talked about lactation cookies before as being a great milk booster. This smoothie is pretty much like a lactation cookie, but in a drink form. Same great tasting ingredients, but in the convenience of a complete breakfast meal.

One thing you can also add into your smoothie, although it may sound crazy to some of you…If you saved your placenta after birth and had it encapsulated. You can actually open a couple of those up and add them into the smoothie too.

The reason I prefer using Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Powder versus just plain cocoa powder, is all the added vitamins and nutrients it contains. Carnation Breakfast Essentials® provides you with an additional 21 Vitamins & Minerals, 13 g of Protein, and even has as much Calcium as a 6 oz cup of yogurt. All of which are even better for you and for baby.

It doesn’t hurt that it’s also delicious, and is so convenient to add in – since it’s all ready measured for you.

You can get creative with this smoothie and switch out the Rich Milk Chocolate flavor for one of the other many flavors like Classic French Vanilla, Classic Chocolate Malt, Dark Chocolate, or Strawberry Sensation. All of which you can find at your local Safeway store. That’s where I bought this box, and on sale too!
