It’s almost September, and school has started already. We’re slowly weaving into my favorite time of the year, fall. It’s when our television is filled with the sound of football, when you can find pumpkin flavored everything, and when Christmas is right around the corner.
I don’t know about your stores, but we have actually already started to spot Halloween costumes out. I guess it’s never too early to share a fun new project for fall with you then, right?!
This Rustic Wooden Pumpkin Stand was definitely one of my favorite projects this year. It was simple, using just wood, tools, and paint. Maybe took me an hour total to build. It was inexpensive as well, if you already have the tools needed.
Most of the project is cutting the wood to the right measurements.
Then stapling it together.
Next, cutting the pumpkin shape into it.
Some paint, and you’re done!
I personally LOVE the rustic “white” pumpkin look. You can decorate around it with scarier decorations for Halloween, or keep it classic and chic with just some classic fall decorations. Even perfect to have out for the month of November as well.
If you love this, but you’re not too sure how to create something like this for your home, don’t worry because you’re in luck. The Home Depot has a specific Do It Herself (DIH) workshop coming up next month at your local store. Actually, every third Thursday of each month there is a new DIH Workshop. It’s very interactive and hands-on, which is a great opportunity to fine tune your DIY skills (even if you’re just beginning!) and even pick up some tips and advice from the pros for all of your home improvement projects.
