We’re getting ready for school to start soon!
This year, I wanted to try something new with my 7-year old. She’s doing a fantastic time reading and writing, and she loves to draw, that I thought she’d love having her own journal.
Something she can use each day to write down something fun that happened at school, or maybe something that is troubling her. Maybe there’s something she’s having a hard time telling me in person, but can instead write it down. Or maybe there’s something she’d like us to pray for her, or a friend.
Whatever it is, I want this to be an outlet for her creativity!
So when we went back-to-school shopping we picked up some of these super inexpensive notebooks for just 49 cents each.
Since we wanted to personalize them a little, we used Elmer’s Painters® Paint Markers. They make painting incredibly easy and mess-free. You just shake them, push down the tip and the paint flows smoothly.
It was fun watching her paint her new journal. Everything she came up with was her own!
I hope it inspires her to write – stories, about life, anything. Maybe even encourage her to be a blogger one day?!
I also tried my hand at using the markers on a clip board we will be using, for school papers coming in and going out. Next up, I’m trying these on some clay pots for holiday gifts later this year!
Painters® Paint Markers are as fresh and fun as the projects they create! These colorful opaque acrylic paint markers are perfect for decorating, drawing and personalizing almost any surface.
